Hand wrapping our cloth covered mats Allison & Ross can offer an unlimited variety of fine fabrics, colors, and textures. The treatment of the bevel can be varied according to the needs of the artwork and the fabric may be applied to any thickness of matting desired.
WOOD LINERS
Cloth covered wood liners allow breathing between frame and artwork in the same respect as matting does. Allison & Ross offer an excellent selection of appropriate profiles for the cloth covered liner. However, we only offer liners that have been joined before being covered with fabric. The seams of pre-covered liner only detract, usually separating over time, while a closed corner hand wrapped liner feels truly finished and lends elegance that never goes out of style.
